After waking up a bit late and deciding not to head to Borth I chose a safer option and went Draycote. Arrived and rigged my 5.8 and my upgraded 430mast. My first few runs were excellent and was in awe over the improvement a really good mast makes. The wind was rather gusty and I struggled a few times to get onto the plane. Draycote is a great place to get rid of the old cobwebs and practise a few chop hops. Soon many more chaps arrived and the wind increased. I changed down to my 5.0 but was so knackerd and cold after having not sialed for a month I packed up and went home. Other than the gusty wind it was a great session and maybe next time I won't chicken out on traveling to the coast for some real sailing.
